Timmy - 4 Years Old

Our Timmy turned four on May 26th!  For some reason it has seemed like he has been four for months now.  A few months ago he just grew into a four year old in so many ways.  I think because he hangs out with Brian all the time that he is interested in older things and acts older than his age sometimes.

He still loves to play with Play Doh and Legos and all his stuffed animals.  He is attached to a little beanie baby giraffe that he calls "Giraffie".  That and his blankie have to be with him for sleeping.  Giraffie has a certain voice and character and it is funny to watch Timmy play with his giraffe.  Sometimes he uses Giraffie as an excuse for saying or doing naughty things.  I will tell him to stop or that what he said was not okay and he comes back with something like, "but it was Giraffe that said it," or "Giraffie did it."  Timmy still loves tractors and often carries around a little tractor.  He enjoys reading time and he is still learning his letters and wanting to sound out words.

Timmy is a joy in Primary and his teacher loves him and thinks he is hilarious.  She did tell us that it is hard to discipline him because he is just so darn cute and hilarious and then she asked us if we have the same problem at home.  I told her that yes, we have the same problem.  Sometimes he needs discipline, but he is so charming he somehow gets out of it.  That is one of my challenges, making sure not to let things slide because he knows how to say something clever and funny.

Timmy loves to make people laugh and he is usually very confident in his own skin.  He's so confident he doesn't mind dressing up in princess attire just to get a smile out of friends at a party.

During the school year Timmy got to hang out with just me on the weekday mornings that he was not is school.  He is a pleasant little guy to have around.  I enjoyed my time with him. We would run errands and get things done together on those mornings.  Here he is playing in the sand at the gym while I ran around the track.  He loves to play in the sand.

I love his half smile here in the dental chair.  It looks like he's not too pleased that I am taking a picture while at the dentist, yet he's trying hard to appease my wishes.  When the dentist asked him how many teeth he had, he said, "All of them", in a matter of fact way.  He often has a quick clever answer to questions.

He visited the doctor for his well child check and he is doing well.  He does have reoccurring sinus infections that sometimes take multiple doses of antibiotic to get rid of.  We are hoping as he grows it will get better.  Within the last few weeks he has had two bouts of really bad sicknesses.  One night he was up all night long throwing up.  He was so miserable.  Then last week he developed a high fever that lasted for four days and again he was miserable. I'm so happy to see him feeling better and healthy.

Timmy weighs 30 lbs and he is 40 inches tall.  That puts him at average for his height and on the light side for his weight.  He loves loves loves to wrestle with Mark and will go and go and go until he is covered in sweat and red in the face.  He doesn't give up easily while wrestling.

We just love our Timmy and he brings so much joy and happiness into our lives!
