Well, it is currently mid August and the kids started school this week. I guess I didn't have much time for posting June and July posts while they were out of school, so it is time to get caught up! June started and school ended. The boys wanted Slurpees for the last day. Brian finished 7th and Timmy finished 5th.
Timmy spent time writing a very nice thank you note to his teacher, Mr. Erb, for two years of teaching him. Mr. Erb did an amazing job with Timmy. We are so grateful.
The most exciting thing in June was having and helping Mark's parents move into the house across the street from us from their South Jordan home.
We let the goats into their backyard to try to eat down the overgrown jungle.
Uncle Luke came to help with the move.
We of course had some good eats between all the moving work.
When it's hay time it is hay time. We were in the midst of moving Mark's parents when it was time to go get the bales from our hay guy. I am so grateful we made it work because with this drought there is no hay to be found.
The boys are getting good at driving the truck and staging bales for loading on the trailer and then pulling them off the trailer. I am excited for the day they are strong enough to load and stack.
One extremely rare Sunday (either before or after church, I can't remember) all four of us were in the living room all dressed up at one time. This seriously never happens because of Mark's calling in the Stake Presidency. I took the opportunity to get a quick family picture. It's been four years since the last one. Brian had a bit of a scab on his face from something or other, but I love having an updated picture of our family!
Then Mini Meadows Farm Camps began! The boys and I did five two day camps throughout the summer.
I had unicorn birthday parties scattered throughout the summer as well.
Mark cooked the meat for our Father's Day party with my family at the ranch.
It was so good to be back at the ranch!
This was the beginning of the summer of airsoft for the boys!
Then more farm camps.
Mark took the boys to practice tennis a few times.
Timmy and Brian helped me outside.
More farm camp.
And Mark and I got to go to the family temple sealing of our good friends. It was so nice to be back in the temple.
Looking at all of these pictures, I just cannot believe how fast June and July went. Time flies when things are busy!
