Timmy: Two Months

Our sweet, smiley, beautiful, chubby, and delightful Timothy is now two months old.

Here are few things about him at two months of age:
~He weighs in at 12 pounds (Just for my blog record he weighed 8.3 lbs at 2 weeks)
~He is 23.7 inches long and his head circumference is 15.7 inches.
~He is very quick to smile and I would describe him as a happy baby
~He still has a tear duct that is "too small" according to the doctors, which leads to a constantly clogged duct and an incredibly goopy right eye.  The doctor says it could last until six months.
~He also has Torticollis.  The doctor says because of the way he was positioned in the uterus he has a tight muscle in his neck making him always want to look and sleep on his left side.  I have to help him with some neck stretching exercises (which he hates) to loosen it up.
~Timmy has learned to be a very good sleeper.  Just a few days before he turned two months old he decided to start sleeping for a long period at night.  He wants to go to sleep by about 8:30 pm and he doesn't want to wake up to eat until the early morning hours.  For a few days now he has been sleeping until 4:00 am.  Hooray!  Then I will feed him and he goes right back to sleep without a peep.  Thank you Timmy.  Please keep this pattern up!
~Also to my surprise, he has grown to enjoy going places in his car seat carrier!  In fact, sometimes it seems that he is happier going somewhere in his carrier than he is at home.  I have always wanted a baby who enjoyed his carrier.  This makes taking Brian places and running certain errands so much easier!
~Timothy really is a joy at this age and I think he is oh so cute.  We love you little Tim Tim!

Cousins, Cousins, Cousins

We get to see our family more during the summer than any other time of the year.  Summer is the time when my sister Emily comes with her kids from Texas to visit and we have numerous family get togethers.

This year we have been able to spend even more time with family because of the following: 1) Allison and her family stayed with us while they were in between houses,  2) Emily and her four kids stayed with us for almost two weeks while visiting from Texas, 3) Timmy was blessed, 4) Brian's cousin Vivien was baptized, 5) we had a Cannon family reunion on July 5th, 6) Brian's cousin Xander had a Birthday party, and 7) my cousin Rich was married.

Brian has absolutely LOVED having cousins so readily available to play with.  Thanks to Emily I have an overload of fabulous pictures.  I am horrible and taking pictures and she is amazing at always having her camera and capturing all those fun moments.  I forgot to get the pictures from her from the last few days of her stay, so you'll probably see more cousins pictures when I do finally get those photos.  Thanks Emily!

Brian wasn't the only one who got to play with cousins.  With the Cannon family reunion and my cousin Rich's wedding I got to catch up with my own cousins that I haven't seen for a long time.  Mark watched all of Emily's kids and Brian and Timmy while we went to the wedding reception.  It was so nice to talk to family without worrying about my kids.

Timmy's Blessing Day

Timmy was blessed on July 4th 2010 by his Dad.  He was about 5 weeks old.
Don't let this darling smile fool you.  Timmy screamed through the whole blessing.  I guess he just wanted to take after his older brother.

Despite Timmy wailing in his face, Mark gave one of the most beautiful blessings I have heard.  The whole day was very special.  The only thing that would have made it perfect would be to have had my parents there.  Besides my parents, Mark and I both had every single member of our families attend.  All of Mark's family was there, but there are a few members who don't want their pictures posted so that's why you always just get pictures of my family.

The following picture is mostly for you Mom and Dad.  This is everyone in your family together accept you.  We missed you so much!

Mark cooked up some Mexican BBQ and everyone brought something to contribute to the good food following the blessing.  Thank you everyone for the delicious food and wonderful company.  It was such a nice day!
