April 2024 - Kauai Part 5

Sunday morning was very rainy, but we really wanted to check out Tunnels Beach for the snorkeling, so we went in the rain hoping it would clear up.

We explored the cave there while hoping it would stop raining.

The rain finally stopped, but it was a little chilly at the beginning.

It warmed up enough to do some snorkeling and I LOVED snorkeling here!

After Tunnels, we ate some delicious Poke

Then we went over to Hanalei Bay.

I sat and soaked up the beauty of it all. The boys tried some surfing, but the surf was a bit low. Brian did numerous back flips off the peer, they threw a football for most of the time and we took some sunset pictures. Overall it was an incredible evening.

The next morning was Monday morning and both Mark and I were slammed with Monday morning work emergencies that needed our attention, so we spent the morning in the condo working. Then we headed down to meet the Scotts at Shipwreck beach where Dave and Caitie were doing some cliff jumping. When we arrived they were finished jumping off the gigantic cliff there. Jordan and Brian headed out on a hike and the rest of us went over to Brennecke Beach for boogie boarding again.

Brian and Jordan ended up hiking all the way over to meet us at the beach!

Afterward we made another stop at Bubba's Burgers.

Then even though it was raining we tried to catch one more sunset at Hanalei before we left for the airport early the next morning.

Goodbye Kauai! Thank you for one of the best vacations of my life!
