December started with Brian winning at council level for his reflections 3-D art. He went outside his usual song composing entry and carved and painted a bird.
This was a relaxing Sunday at Nai Nai's.
We listened to the Christmas Devotional while there.
Snow!
Sami Claus party and my first time meeting baby Zach.
Brian was happy with the gifts he got from Sami Claus.
Playing UNO with Dad.
We have a funny hen. She never lays her eggs in the nesting boxes. Instead she flies over the fence and searches for any other place. She is always following me in the barn looking for a place to lay. She doesn't care that I am cleaning or working or feeding right near her. She will lay her pretty brown egg right in front of me or Pip. Most hens want privacy, but she seems to want to be near us to lay her egg.
Reading at cello lessons. I love that the boys love to read.
Brian's primary teacher had a Christmas party.
Holiday cello concert. I played this year so only got pictures before.
Then we had the ward Christmas party. I had to do the whole nativity so did not get any pictures except the set-up before.
We took cousin Matthew skiing for the first time.
School Sing a Long
LEGOS
Luke and Sunny came to town and cooked us Kimchi Soup!
Christmas gift helpers.
We had Christmas Crab at Mark's parents. It was delicious and Timmy absolutely loves it, but I caught this picture of his face when Mark showed him how to eat the inside of the crab. (The brains I think). Timmy doesn't look too pleased with that part of it.
The boys asked Vivian to teach them how to crochet. They actually got quite into it.
Christmas Eve was at our house again this year. So fun because we have animals for the Nativity and Mark grills Mexican meat!
Mark held Zach most of the night.
Still holding Zach!
Christmas morning! Boys got our old phones and a Spring Break trip to Orlando!
And some games which they played all day long!
Mark made a turkey to take to his parents.
Christmas dinner with the Hsiaos. Tony and Margaret gave Timmy pistachios and Timmy was good enough to share some with Ye Ye.
Snow day at the ranch.
Fresh orange juice all winter break!
More snow!
We saw Mary Poppins Returns with Luke and Sunny. I loved it!
Brian mashed his thumb jumping a fence.
We had friends over for dinner.
Christmas break relaxing.
And reading. Timmy finished the Harry Potter series!
Lots of good eats too!
Mark's work Christmas dinner was at Hoof and Vine. He brought me home some of their amazing lemonade. Apparently he had to strap it in a seat belt so it made it home to me safely.
He fixed up my dad's tractor and got it a nice new seat.
His work also went to a movie before the Christmas break and he brought us home the boy's favorite movie popcorn.
During the break we went swimming at the condo and then to Chuck a Rama and then my parents dropped us off at Temple Square and we quickly walked through to see the lights because it was freezing out there! They are beautiful as always.
Sledding in the park!
That brings 2018 to a close. It was a beautiful wonderful year full of fun things and new business adventures for me. Looking forward to what 2019 will bring!
