September 2018

September corn harvest was excellent!

Outdoor movie night with cousins.  We watched Charlotte's Web.

Labor Day at the Ranch is always perfect!

I took the boys to the State Fair this year.

We picked our first pumpkin.

We watched tennis at Nai Nai's.

I sold three of my lambs.  It was sad to say goodbye.

Brian finally convinced us to get him some bunnies.

We had a great party for the best BYU football game of the year so far.

I traded Drummer for a new older calmer horse. This is Drummer before he left.

This is the new horse named Cowboy.

Bunnies are happy in their setup.

Brian and Timmy played flag football and had the best coach ever!

We are getting lots of eggs!

I got rid of the roosters.  Goodbye, Yeti.

Mark and I went to the CHOICE gala.  It was a nice night.

More flag football.

Timmy's black widow is getting gigantic.

Visit to Grandma Joyce.

Jojo the 3rd sat on eggs that didn't hatch so I got her 5 chicks at IFA.  She is a very good and happy mama.

Pumpkins started coming out our ears.

Brian made this bird for reflections.

And he enjoyed his bunnies.

Life is so full of good things.

August 2018

August started with another horse camp.  It was a fun success!

One of those horse camp days Timmy went to cub scout camp.  He loved it, but came home dirty! Brian went two days after.

I unloaded a bunch of hay from the trailer.

Timmy helped sweep it out.

I posted sandpiper for sale as she was not working for what we needed.

I ended up finding another horse for what I thought was free but after a lot of drama from the guy I ended up paying 300 for him.  He might be going soon too.  He's a bit too much for us. But pretty all the same!

Our garden got a little out of control.  Timmy loves the garden!

Morning Lego building before school began.

Timmy did a great job of drawing Pip.

One last day at the ranch to say goodbye to cousins!

More sand time at home.

The poor sheep hate the heat!

The boys watched a little bit of fly tying before bed.

And one more ranch night before school starts.

This time we slept in the teepee.

And woke up bright and early to see the sun come up.

Brian's army sand battle.

Reading in the teepee.

The boys helped plant a tree.

Timmy was beyond happy to start harvesting our corn!

Then school began.  Brian is 5th and Timmy in 3rd.

They convinced me to make crepes for breakfast.

We got a day of rain.  It was a nice relief, but we still want more.

We had an emergency problem with the basement shower just before guests arrived.  Luckily Mark took care of it and got it fixed in time.

And just like that summer is over and school is in.  August is always a bit bitter sweet.
